How do African-Americans experience discrimination in daily life? A new poll is examining the extent of discrimination against six major ethnic and racial groups in America today.
A study by NPR, Harvard and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation finds African-Americans making more than $75,000 report experiencing higher levels of discrimination than those making less.
"The reality is that Eric Garner died at the hands of a police force and a criminal justice system that were designed entirely by white people, for the most part," says journalist Matt Taibbi.
The anger of white fans "is what happens when black bodies don't conform to what white spectators and consumers want them to be or do or say," says Penn State assistant professor Amira Rose Davis.
