Look Up and Listen returns to Hanging Rock State Park on November 5th!
Set up a blanket or chair by the fire and listen to a special program from WFDD while snacking on some s’mores and gazing at the stars. Meet us by the lake at Hanging Rock State Park. Volunteers from The Forsyth Astronomical Society will be on hand with telescopes to share views of Jupiter, Saturn, and the full moon. Once the fires die out, join the after-party at Green Heron Ale House

Summer Bar Meetups
We loved meeting our listeners for a pint this summer in Greensboro, Boone, and Winston-Salem! Everyone who participated received our special "Radio for thirsty minds" pint glasses, filled with their choice of beverage from the bar. We hope you join us next year!
Listener Expeditions
Explore special and unique locales in our region, guided by expert presenters. Learn something new about the community you call home and maybe make some new friends while you’re at it. Past expeditions have gone to the Underground Railroad Tree in Greensboro and Vade Mecum Resort in Hanging Rock National Park. We host expeditions quarterly, so don't miss the next one!
WFDD's first Poetry Challenge
In April 2022, WFDD issued a poetry challenge to our listeners for National Poetry Month: participants were emailed bi-weekly with poems and prompts to inspire their own writing and were invited to share their poetry with our community! Our inaugural poetry collection is available to read on our site.
Photo of the Year
At the end of every year, we take all of our Photo of the Week winners' photographs and have our community vote for their favorite photos! In 2021 the exhibit traveled to the Southeastern Center of Contemporary Art and the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum; you can view our 2021 Photo of the Year and gallery now.
