Reporter/Host

The Reporter/Host reports and produces daily news for listeners across North Carolina’s High Country (and serves as an on-air voice for WFDD, including hosting, newscast duties, and on-air fundraising as needed). The role requires daily pitching, strong source development, and the ability to file nearly air-ready newscast stories and regular feature reports. Based in the High Country, the Reporter/Host works closely with editors, contributes to digital platforms, and maintains regular connection with the Winston-Salem newsroom. Apply here.

Fill-In Host

We’re looking for a fill-in host. As such, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with our audience, bringing them the latest news, thought-provoking interviews, and captivating stories. Whether it’s through hourly newscasts, hosting special coverage, or updating our 32-county listening area about the weather, you’ll be at the forefront of informing and entertaining our listeners. If you’re a natural storyteller with a love for public radio and a knack for engaging an audience, we want to hear from you. Apply here.
