U.N. Security Council To Hold Emergency Meeting On Turkish Attack In Syria

Monday's emergency meeting follows the launch of Turkey's anti-terror operation in northern Syria. Turkish warplanes and troops attacked Kurdish fighters who have been armed and trained by the U.S.

Amid Jitters Over North Korea, Tokyo Conducts Public Missile Drill

Although 20 other Japanese cities have already undergone similar drills simulating a North Korean ballistic missile attack, it was the first such exercise for the capital.

Shafika Khatun, 30, lives in what's known as the "widows' village" of the Hakimpara camp for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. There are no men in the cluster of 34 shelters. Most of the women's husbands were killed in the recent violence.
