An inmate in Forsyth County who escaped on work assignment has returned to custody. Bobby Abraham was headed to work for the North Carolina Department of Transportation at 7:40 a.m. Monday morning when he fled.

Abraham was reported back in police custody at 11:06 a.m.

Abraham is a minimum custody inmate. He's serving time at Forsyth Correctional Center for the attempted trafficking of a Schedule 2 drug. That's defined as drugs with a high potential for abuse, such as cocaine and methadone.

His projected release date was April 2019. Officials at the North Carolina Department of Public Safety say Abraham will face charges for his escape.
