This week, we celebrate master fiddlers from West Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina with music of the late Clark Kessinger, Buddy Thomas and Benny Jarrell.  It's a grand experience hearing expert fiddlers' takes on classic and obscure dance tunes.  Plus … banjo player Frank Proffitt of the North Carolina mountains, with a lonesome yet serene sound, and a couple of selections from a new album by David Holt and Josh Goforth.  These two outstanding musicians breathe some new life into songs and tunes from the old time mountain, ragtime and jazz traditions.
