Our final weekly radio broadcast starts with a reminiscence on songcatching – tracing a song back through time and versions, listening for connections.  We also consider the new video documentary Dance All Night – The Highwoods Stringband Story, which traces the impact of the Highwoods Stringband on generations of old-time musicians and enthusiasts during and following its six-year run in the 1970s.  We close out with a few observations about music, its power to unite people of varied life experiences and backgrounds.  Powerful songs and tunes bring us through the hour, as always. Even though broadcast episodes are ending, you'll be able to access all 158 of our archived programs at www.acrosstheblueridge.net.  Thanks for listening!
