From The White House to a lunch with homeless people, from the halls of Congress to a Philadelphia prison, Pope Francis made waves during six-day US visit among U.S. Catholics and the public at large.

A visibly tired Pope Francis spoke with reporters during a freewheeling press conference in the air. Topics included his impressions of the U.S., clergy sex abuse and women's role in the church.

On his last day in the U.S., Pope Francis visited inmates at a prison in Pennsylvania and told them they should not view their confinement as an exclusion from society.

Some 1.5 million people were expected to attend the Pope's last Mass in the U.S. on Sunday. It's the centerpiece of his weeklong visit.

New Buddhist fraternity and sorority houses at San Diego State will have meditation, and will stress compassion. They'll also have typical Greek activities, like parties — with mindfulness mixed in.

Francis made the unannounced visit on the last day of his six-day trip to the U.S., which will conclude with a huge Mass in Philadelphia.

On the final leg of his U.S. visit, Pope Francis arrived in Philadelphia on Saturday to celebrate Mass and address a huge public gathering outside the city's Independence Hall.
