A New York state trial court judge has given until early 2019 for the president to be deposed in a defamation suit against him, but his attorneys are expected to try to fight the deposition.

Voters in Santa Clara County are deciding Tuesday whether to remove Judge Aaron Persky from office after he sentenced a former Stanford University swimmer convicted of sexual assault to a short jail sentence instead of prison.
