India launched strikes against Pakistan on Wednesday, killing dozens, in response to last month’s deadly attack by Islamist militants in Indian-administered Kashmir. 

On Wednesday, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said his country would defend itself with “corresponding actions,” but vowing strikes would only hit military targets, not civilian. 

Kashmir is at the heart of a decades-old dispute between India and Pakistan. One which has already drawn the countries into war numerous times.
