Virginia Tech is the latest school to say it was offered game-plan information before a football game against Wake Forest. The news comes as an Atlantic Coast Conference review of those leaks gets underway.

It was at a November conference game against Louisville that the evidence was found leading to the allegations that a former Wake Forest football player, coach and radio analyst leaked team information before play began. Louisville ultimately won that game, turning a fourth-quarter deficit into a resounding win.

Wake Forest is providing its internal findings to the ACC. Conference officials haven't said much about the case. In a brief statement, they say that after reviewing the information provided by Wake Forest, they will decide if additional investigation and actions will occur. A call to the conference for further explanation was not returned.

Louisville athletic officials have confirmed that they received pre-game information, but say they didn't use it in the game. Wake Forest says other teams may have also received similar offers.

Virginia Tech Athletic Director Whit Babcock released a statement Thursday, saying a former Hokies assistant had received information prior to a game in 2014 - Coach Dave Clawson's first season as head coach of the Deacons. Wake won, eking out a tough win in overtime after both teams failed to score during regulation.

Babcock says the university has no indication that the game information was shared with other staff members beyond the former assistant coach that received it, nor was there an indication the information was used in the game, he says.

Wake Forest finished the 2016 season with a 6-6 record and will play Temple in the Military Bowl Dec. 27.
