Thelma & Luis: An Alt.Latino Road Trip With Attitude

The weather is finally cooperating here on the East Coast, so our thoughts have turned to hitting the open road with the top down and a cool stack of CDs — or, because this is 2016, an unlimited data plan for nonstop streaming.

My fearless co-host, Jasmine Garsd, has recently learned to drive, so we decided she should pick the playlist. She was in a Thelma & Louise kind of mood as she compiled her list, so I offered only one slight tweak on the concept: We're calling this episode Thelma & Luis.

So we've got a playlist of "happy angry" songs, irresistible pedal-to-the-metal grooves, and even moments of introspection. And, as with any good road trip, we also discuss the music, share some laughs and even entertain deep thoughts about the meaning of life.
