Soulful Puerto Rican singer Calma Carmona brought her full band from San Juan to perform live in the World Cafe studio. She has an eclectic set of influences that range from Thelonious Monk and Santana to PJ Harvey and La Lupe, and she can count opening for Beyoncé in Puerto Rico among her career highlights.

Carmona's World Cafe set includes "Save Me," from her 2013 EP There's No Other Girl, along with material from a forthcoming album that will see the light when she decides it's ready.
