Lifelong rocker Jesse Malin was born in Queens and formed the hardcore band Heart Attack when he was 12. More than a decade later, in 1991, he became the leader of the glam- and punk-influenced band D Generation, which recently re-formed to tour and is releasing its first album of new music in more than 15 years later this year.

Rolling solo in 2015, Malin released New York Before The War in March and Outsiders in October. He's outspoken and passionate about all of his works, as you'll hear in this conversation with David Dye. Enjoy two songs recorded at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, including "Addicted," which is available for download below.
