The filing period for local municipal offices ended Friday, and we've got your look at who's running - and who's not - in the Triad.

Guilford County's two largest cities will have competitive races for mayor. Greensboro incumbent Nancy Vaughan is being challenged by Diane Moffett and John Brown.

And all of the council races are also competitive with multiple candidates in each district. In District 2, incumbent Goldie Wells faces four challengers. The council appointed Wells to the seat this month to replace Jamal Fox, who resigned.

In High Point, Mayor Bill Bencini has announced he will not seek a second term. There are three candidates for the seat - Bruce Davis, Jim Davis and Jay Wagner.

In Forsyth County, Winston-Salem no longer has its elections on odd-numbered years, but other municipalities do. Dawn Morgan, the mayor of Kernersville, and Mike Horn, the mayor of Lewisville, are running unopposed.

Clemmons Mayor Nick Nelson announced earlier this year he would not seek a third term. There are two candidates for the office - Paul David Reich and John Wait.
