The North Carolina Democratic Party Executive Director filed an official complaint with the NC Board of Elections over a voter registration form mailed out by a conservative political group. She claims the forms misleads voters.
Democratic Party Executive Director Casey Mann formally asked the Board of Elections to investigate these inaccuracies Monday. She alleges that Americans for Prosperity Foundation must have known several details on the mailer were false or conflicting and would discourage voting this fall. Mann's complaint suggests the mailers could be subject to a low-grade felony.
Foundation state director Donald Bryson didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment Monday afternoon. But Bryson has said the group is addressing what he called a "few minor administrative errors" in the mailers.
