Brass Under the Big Top is February 22nd.

The Carolina Winter Music Festival presents “Brass Under the Big Top”, music and magic of the circus for the whole family this Saturday morning, February 22, at 11:00 AM in the Milton Rhodes Center. The unique performance features the acclaimed Giannini Brass with Special Guest Dikki Ellis, from New York's Big Apple Circus. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called Dikki’s performance “terrific”, and the N.Y. Post’s Clive Barnes said: "One also had to admire the actual circus feats of a very deft Dikki Ellis...".

The second annual Carolina Winter Music Festival has been filled with a wide variety of chamber music performances including a jazzy holiday program titled Swingle Bells at Old Salem, their annual Peter and the Wolf performances there, and they kicked off 2014 with an intimate dinner concert with singer Martha Bassett in the Graylyn Conference Center. Carolina Chamber Symphony Players co-director Joe Mount is a French hornist with the Winston-Salem Symphony, and the Giannini Brass. The hilarious family-friendly show is part of Carolina Winter Music Festival and it features the Giannini Brass and acclaimed Big Apple Circus performer Dikki Ellis.  Carolina Winter Music Festival continues on Sunday, February 23rd at 3 p.m. in collaboration with Forecast Music. Brooklyn Sounds: Copland Meets the Moderns will feature music written by Brooklyn composers from Aaron Copland to some of today’s leading composers, some of whom call the Triad home. The performances will be held in the Reynolda House Museum in conjunction with it’s fascinating new exhibit from the Brooklyn Museum titled AMERICAN MODERNS, 1910 – 1960: FROM O’KEEFFE TO ROCKWELL.
