More than a decade ago a man named Jerry Lynn was doing some repairs in his house when he accidentally dropped an alarm clock down an air vent inside a wall.

The small digital clock got stuck, and Jerry just decided to leave it there because eventually, he assumed, the thing would stop working.

It didn't. For the next 13 years that clock went off every evening at 7:50. It was finally too much to bear and Jerry and his wife recently had it removed. The clock now sits on their mantle, still set for 7:50 p.m.
