Tasmanian Devils Return To Los Angeles Zoo

After 20 years without a devil, the LA Zoo has welcomed a pair of the marsupials. Generations of U.S. children first were introduced to Tasmanian devils through Taz, a Looney Tunes animated character.

Mail Order Maven Lillian Vernon Dies At 88

In the 1950s, as a young housewife, Lillian Vernon created a mail order company from her kitchen table. She was in charge for more than 50 years. It still exists but is under different ownership.
