Transforming Lives

Michele Powell and Tammy Johnson share a common passion, empowering people.

Transformed Lives is a faith-based, non-profit that supports underserved communities in Winston-Salem. The group offers numerous life enriching programs for all ages at its New Walkertown Road Community Center including; computer labs, a food pantry and a transitional house for ex-cons. The center is  located on New Walkertown Road and provides services to people of all ages.  

Tammy Johnson is going through one of the organizations' Adult Support groups. In this segment of StoryLine, she explains to Executive Director Michele Powell how the organizations' motto “Every Person Has Value & Every Life Has Worth” translates into action.

StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. It is a project of the ECHO Network, dedicated to building trusting relationships in our community.
