New Clemmons Medical Center Set to Open

Novant Health is preparing to open a new medical clinic in Clemmons.  The public can get a closer look at the new center during an open house this weekend.  

The Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center is located off the Tanglewood exit of Harper Road and Interstate 40.

The two-story building houses an imaging center and an emergency room department. Chad Setliff, vice president of the medical facility, says hospital officials will offer a new model for emergency care.

“At the very front door they will be met by a clinician and we have two path ways they could travel throughout the ER room.  We have an urgent care track for those cases that are not as severe and we have a more complex, or severe track for those patients who have to be on a stretcher or in a horizontal position, ” says Setliff.

Setliff says a surgical center will also be located in the new center.

“The primary services we will start with will be general surgery, podiatry, orthopedic services and will look to expand to ear nose and throat and other outpatient surgeries in the near future.”

Setliff says the Clemmons medical center will employ 110 people, with about 45 percent being new positions.

The public is invited to attend an open house Sunday, March 24 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The community event will include tours of the facility and activities for kids.  

The Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center will officially open on April 3.
