6th District

Democrat Kathy Manning handily defeated Lee Haywood in the newly drawn US 6th Congressional District.

Manning was widely expected to win. The district consists of Guilford and parts of Forsyth County and leans Democratic.

Manning first ran for Congress in 2018. She lost, but she was running in a district that at the time was much more rural and favored the GOP.

13th District

Incumbent Republican Ted Budd earned a third term in Congress, defeating Democratic challenger Scott Huffman in the 13th Congressional District.

The 13th has a new look this year, stretching south and east of Guilford County.

It has leaned Republican during Budd's tenure — in 2018 he easily defeated high-profile Democratic challenger Kathy Manning.

10th District

Incumbent Republican Patrick McHenry easily defeated Democratic challenger David Parker to earn another term in the 10th Congressional District.

The district includes some parts of the former Fifth District, including the suburban areas of western Forsyth County.

5th District

Incumbent GOP Rep. Virginia Foxx cruised to a ninth term in the US Fifth District against Democrat David Wilson Brown.

Foxx first won the seat in 2004 and has never come close to losing the seat. The district has historically included at least part of Forsyth County. But redistricting has shifted it to the west. It now runs from the High Country down to the South Carolina line.

Winston-Salem Mayor

Allen Joines has won his re-election campaign for Winston-Salem Mayor. The Democrat easily defeated Republican challenger Kris McCann.

The race was not expected to be close. Joines has held the office since 2001. McCann ran as a hard-line conservative in a city that favors Democrats.

The race was the only major-city mayoral race in the Triad this year.

Here are the uncalled races in NC:
President
Senate
Attorney General
Auditor
Labor Commissioner
Secretary of State
NC House Districts 9, 45, 63, 74
NC Senate District 9
Supreme Court Chief
Supreme Court Justice Seats 2, 4
