  • Anna Shyfrina is a long-time resident of the Triad who believes in playing an active role in her community. She has an MBA degree in Finance and Management from Tulane University. Her professional background includes Corporate Finance and Lean process transformation. Anna is an avid art appreciator who commits her efforts to promoting Arts in her community. She served as a Treasurer for Associated Artists of Winston-Salem and volunteered for the Arts Council on multiple occasions. She has been listening to NPR all of her adult life.   • Latonya Wright joined the UNC School of the Arts (UNCSA) full-time as Manager of Patron Services in September 2018. Her prior full-time positions include two terms at the Winston-Salem Symphony as Development Manager (2015-2018) and Ticket Sales & Donor Administration Manager (2010-2014) and Grants Manager for The Winston-Salem Foundation (2014-2015). Previous part-time roles held concurrently at UNCSA included: Assistant House Manager for Performance Facilities, Evening and Weekend Box Office Staff, and Evening Receptionist for the UNCSA Community Music School. Ms. Wright holds an A.B. degree in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University and presently serves on the Board of Directors for Art Nouveau Winston-Salem, the Harvard Band Foundation, Music Carolina, and the WFDD Community Advisory Board.Term expires December 31, 2020.
  • Jamie Wallis works in brand marketing at HanesBrands, Inc., managing advertising development, public relations and the company's partnerships. He received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his undergrad degree from the College of William & Mary. Prior to business school, he lived in New York and worked for the The New York Times and for AP Radio. Jamie is also a member of the board of Sawtooth School for Visual Arts. Jamie and his wife have two daughters, and are active members of Greene Street United Methodist Church. Term expires December 31, 2021.
  • Jasmine O'Connell is a lifelong public radio listener who grew up enjoying Car Talk and Prairie Home Companion from the back seat of her parents' car. She has lived in Greensboro for over 10 years, and works as a healthcare analytics leader in High Point, helping clients deliver high-quality, more cost-efficient care to patients. She received her master's of health care from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and undergraduate degree from Regis University. Term expires December 31, 2022.
  • George joined WFDD in October of 2013, after serving twelve years “hard time” as Market Chief Engineer for six commercial radio stations in and around the Triad area. He is a North Carolina native, having grown up in Kernersville, and is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro with a double-major in Public Administration and Urban Planning.As Operations & Engineering Manager for WFDD, George works to make sure we stay on the air, and that what comes out of your speakers sounds good (and is the correct program!).In his spare time, George plays keyboards (piano and classical organ), and bass guitar. George and his wife Lori also enjoy camping … George more so in the mountains, and Lori more so at the coast … so they usually make at least one trip to each every year.George and Lori live in Winston-Salem with their Carolina Dog Luna, and two rambunctious cats; Peanut and Jinx.
  • Paul Roper knew he wanted to be in broadcasting while he was growing up in Brooklyn, N.Y. His parents were the audience whenever he decided to do play-by-play of hockey and baseball on television or read the news from the local newspaper. After graduating from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J., Paul was play-by-play announcer for the ECHL's Trenton Devils for one season and with the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters for four seasons. He also works at IMG College as a producer and studio host for the Florida Gators.Paul lives in Winston-Salem, N.C. He enjoys cooking and writing.
  • Tom Dollenmayer came to WFDD from WUSF Public Media, licensed to the University of South Florida. He began his broadcast career as a part-time volunteer board operator at WLPJ in New Port Richey, Florida, in the fall of 1988. Dollenmayer served as Radio Operations Manager at WUSF and rose to the position of Station Manager over 2 radio stations and a TV station in just 5 years. In addition, he has worked with NPR Labs in Washington, DC, to test and implement new technologies to interconnect public radio stations and deliver new HD radio services. He has been featured in Radio World, Radio Magazine, and a special report at the National Association of Broadcasters for his work on subscription-based over-the-air HD Radio technology.
  • Jennifer Barrett joined the staff of 88.5 WFDD in the summer of 2016. Before moving to Winston-Salem, she worked as a teacher of English Language Learners in Boston. She received her B.A. in English from Mount Ida College and her M.A. in English from Wake Forest University. Her M.A. thesis explored perceptions of female voices on public radio.Jennifer moved to Winston-Salem for graduate school in 2015. She immediately fell in love with the local culture and its atmosphere of creativity and intellectual curiosity. She began interning at 88.5 WFDD after her first year of graduate study, soon joining the voices on-air by announcing events from the station's Community Calendar. Now, as Marketing and Traffic Manager, she ensures that WFDD's mission to inform, connect, educate, and inspire continues every day through the station's community events and engagement initiatives.Jennifer, a longtime public radio listener, values public radio for its ability to influence and inspire, as it has done for her professional, educational, and personal life.
  • Bernie Wallace is a marketing communications maven. After a long career at HanesBrands, as senior manager creative services, brand public relations, and social platform content development, she's embarking on a career in marketing consulting and is currently back contracting at HanesBrands as Senior Creative Manager for the JustMySize and OneHanesPlace websites. Prior to joining HanesBrands she lived in New York where she worked for Clairol and Foot Cone & Belding advertising. She was born in Los Angeles and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, earning a BA in Journalism. She considers herself a news junkie and public radio has been the one constant throughout her career. She values public radio for its independence, objectivity and wide variety of programing both in news and in entertainment. She is a member of the Reynolda Rotary Club and serves on the board at The Sawtooth School of Visual Arts.Term expires December 31, 2020.
