Takeisha Redd is a Winston-Salem native and long time public radio listener. She obtained her B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. from the Albert S. Turner School of Law at North Carolina Central University. Takeisha is very active in her community and has served on the boards of many local non-profit organizations. Takeisha currently works as an assistant city attorney for the City of Winston-Salem. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and cycling.Term expires December 31, 2023.

Before his arrival in the Triad, David had already established himself as a fixture in the Austin, Texas arts scene as a radio host for Classical 89.5 KMFA. During his tenure there, he produced and hosted hundreds of programs including Mind Your Music, The Basics and T.G.I.F. Thank Goodness, It's Familiar, which each won international awards in the Fine Arts Radio Competition. As a radio journalist with 88.5 WFDD, his features have been recognized by the Associated Press, Public Radio News Directors Inc., Catholic Academy of Communication Professionals, and Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. David has written and produced national stories for NPR, KUSC and CPRN in Los Angeles and conducted interviews for Minnesota Public Radio's Weekend America.

Karen Kantziper has been with WFDD since 2011. Karen formerly worked in media sales for a local TV affiliate for 13 years. Before that, she was Public Relations Director at the American Red Cross in Georgia.Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Karen received her Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing from the University of Georgia. Karen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, going to the gym. and travel.

Shawn Fitzmaurice works at SciWorks with a primary role as the Planetarium Technician. He holds a B.S. in Geology from Guilford College.Shawn is originally from Massachusetts where he worked at the Museum of Science in Boston. After a twenty-two year career, he and his family relocated to North Carolina for a change in scenery and to further his education.Shawn's experience with radio dates back to 2006. Since then he has been hosting a specialized college radio show focusing on Independent music from Ireland. The show continued to operate out of WQFS, Guilford College radio in Greensboro until 2015.SciWorks Radio is presented by SciWorks, the Science Center and Environmental Park of Forsyth County, located in Winston-Salem. The goal of this program is to encourage and extend scientific understanding and literacy within the community.

Former 88.5 WFDD News Director Paul Brown founded Across the Blue Ridge at WFDD in the late 1980s. It was an instant hit, and was broadcast on WFDD for more than a decade until Paul left to become an executive editor, producer, reporter, and world newscaster at NPR in Washington, DC. Now Paul is back in his beloved Blue Ridge region, his journalism and storytelling skills honed better than ever. He's ready to present more music, share discussion with more interesting characters, and be your friend and guide in discovery. Paul is actively involved in today's acoustic music scene, crisscrossing the region and the country as a teacher, performer, and interviewer.

The path that led Quique to WFDD is anything but linear. After moving from Peru to the U.S. at age 11, Quique picked up the guitar and an old boom box (complete with a tiny built-in microphone) and began recording music on cassette tapes. Though the lifelong plan was to pursue a career in something different altogether (visual arts), Quique switched gears last minute and attended Davidson College instead, majoring in Sociology. Afterward, he took another turn and earned a Master's degree in Counseling at Wake Forest University. Quique went on to work in community outreach with Latino families in the Old Town area of Winston-Salem. In 2012, Quique left the non-profit sector to devote himself to his passion in music composition, recording and performance; he also began to explore the craft of videography.One year prior to joining WFDD, the idea of working in radio crossed Quique's mind perhaps only in dreams. But in 2014, he found himself at WFDD's station for a Triad Arts interview about his album release. After asking Quique what the heck he was doing with his life and learning about his recent exploration with videography, Triad Arts' Executive Producer David Ford proposed a freelance pilot project: producing “Backstage with Triad Arts”, a video program that offers listeners the opportunity to visit the WFDD's website and take behind-the-scenes looks at arts events in the region (like the Eastern Music Festival, Phuzz Phest, Becca Stevens' studio album recording, SECCA collaborations with UNCSA, Merlefest, etc.).In 2015, Quique officially (and much to his happiness) joined the WFDD team. In addition to producing videos, you can hear Quique throughout the day announcing events happening in the Triad. He's also Contributing Editor for Triad Arts, where he puts his recording/editing skills to work.

Bill Stallings is a veteran in the financial services industry and currently is the Principal Relationship Manager and Senior Lender for Wells Fargo Business Banking Group in Winston-Salem.Previously, Mr. Stallings was with BB&T for 22 years in a variety of roles including Business Services Officer, City Executive, and Commercial Credit Administration. Bill maintains a strong passion for 88.5 WFDD as a vital community asset in all of the 32 counties that the station serves, and also considers involvement on the Community Advisory Board was a way to give back and support the station to achieve its strategic objectives and outreach programs. While originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Stallings considers Winston-Salem and the Triad home, having lived in the community for over 25 years. Bill is an avid listener and supporter of 88.5 WFDD, and particularly enjoys the quality of the programing, news reporting, and local arts and community updates.Term expires December 31, 2022.

Susan Morris is the Program Director for Venture Cafe Winston-Salem. She has produced and organized such events as the Scene in Winston-Salem Scavenger Hunt and The Burke Street Food Truck Festival, raising over $40,000 for local non-profits. Her community involvement includes City of Winston-Salem University program, the Winston-Salem Centennial Commission, and Leadership Winston-Salem; she is the current Chair of the WS Chamber of Commerce's Tech Council Executive Board, a board member of H.O.P.E of Winston-Salem, and serves on the Inclusion and Access Committee for Hospice and Palliative CareCenter. Susan has a degree in education from the University of West Florida. She and her husband Joe have a wonderful pup named Winston.Term expires December 31, 2023.

Catherine Burroughs is a Professor Emeritus of English at Wells College and has been appointed Courtesy Professor in the English and the Performing Arts and Media Studies departments at Cornell University. Throughout her career, she has focused on the contributions to theatre and playwrighting of women writers between 1750 and 1830. Her book, Closet Stages: Joanna Baillie and the Theater Theory of British Romantic Women Writers (University of Pennsylvania Press, 1997), helped to make Baillie canonical and encouraged scholarship on theatre theorists of the Romantic period and the broader topic of gender and the stage. In addition to her many articles on British Romantic theatre and drama, publications include: Reading the Social Body (Co-Ed., University of Iowa Press, 1993); Women in British Romantic Theatre: Drama, Performance, and Society, 1790–1840 (Ed., Cambridge University Press, 2000; re-printed in Paper 2006); Approaches to Teaching Early British Women Playwrights (Modern Language Association, 2010); and Closet Drama: History, Theory, Form(Routledge, 2019). She has in progress Women's Theatre Theory and Dramatic Criticism (co-ed. with Ellen Gainor) and is also a member of Actors' Equity Association.Term expires December 31, 2021.
