The WFDD Endowment

Securing WFDD’s future, for good.

In 2026, we launched the WFDD Endowment to help secure the station’s long-term future.

Give to the Endowment

Why it matters

Independent funding for independent public service.

Federal support for public radio is no longer something we can count on. The Endowment is how WFDD plans for that reality, building a steady, independent source of funding for the work our community relies on.

That means honest local news, trusted national programming, and music and cultural coverage you won’t find anywhere else.

How it works

Built to support WFDD for generations.

Gifts to the Endowment are invested rather than spent. Each year, a small portion of the investment earnings supports WFDD’s operations, while the rest remains invested and continues to grow.

1

You make a gift

Your contribution becomes part of the permanent fund.

2

The fund grows

The principal is invested with a long-term view.

3

WFDD is supported

A portion of earnings strengthens the station each year.

It’s a slow build, but one that pays off for decades—not just this budget year.

Ways to give

Help build what comes next.

There is more than one way to create a lasting source of support for WFDD.

02

Plan a future gift

A bequest, gift of stock, or beneficiary designation is one of the most powerful ways to build the Endowment—and may cost you nothing today.

03

Create a lasting tribute

An Endowment gift can honor someone you love or reflect a lifetime of listening to WFDD.
