Mount Zion Baptist Church and Novant Health are partnering to improve access to health care in southeast Greensboro.

The collaboration looks to bring a variety of primary and specialty care services to the new Zion Hills campus on Alamance Church Road. The partnership includes the construction of a two-story, 40,000 square foot medical office building.

The facility is expected to offer women’s health services, pediatric care, and diabetes management, among other things. As part of the partnership, telehealth and mobile care services will be offered as well.

According to a news release, the new medical facility is expected to create 60 full-time jobs

The initiative is part of a larger development by the church which the city council approved a rezoning for this month. The project is led by Mount Zion Development Company, which aims to transform 65 acres of undeveloped church-owned land into a multi-use community hub.

No timeline has been given yet for the multiphase plan.
