Creative Greensboro is seeking neighborhood partners. The Gate City’s office for arts and culture is taking applications for this year’s Neighborhood Arts program competition.
Three winning neighborhoods will each receive $20,000, which will be used to create original outdoor public art that reflects the identity of each community. To be eligible, applicants must represent areas undergoing reinvestment, revitalization or renewal.
Local residents will have the opportunity to select the artist and choose the location for the new artwork. They’ll also provide input on the design and host a public gathering to celebrate the artwork’s completion.
The application deadline is September 14.
