Creative Greensboro

LaToya Winslow, owner of Mane Curl Press, will lead weekly workshops on designing journals at the Greensboro Cultural Center beginning May 7.

The Neighborhood Arts: Next Up program will pair professional artists with creative youth to come up with digital designs for bus shelters in the city.

Art pieces selected through the program will be displayed in the executive offices and hallways of the Melvin Municipal Office Building.

Fifteen local nonprofits were awarded the money to help support their creative programming.

A new mural was recently unveiled in Greensboro to recognize the role Indigenous people have in the area. It’s a collaborative project led by a Native American artist whose family, like dozens of others, originally migrated in the 1960s to the region.
