Guilford County is looking to fund programs that serve at-risk youth. The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) released their request for proposals on Monday.

The county anticipates just over $1.2 million in funding will be available from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety's Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. But the money is contingent on a local matching grant.

Applicants must be a public agency, nonprofit corporation, or local housing authority in order to apply.

The request for proposals highlights needs in the areas of clinical assessments, substance abuse treatment, tutoring, and more. Applicants and their programs should be able to provide services that are outcome-based and effective with juvenile offenders among other goals.

Information sessions will be held in January, and the deadline for applications is January 31, 2023.
