Local business leaders want to build the venue to attract bigger acts to the city — acts that would typically skip Winston in favor of Greensboro or Raleigh. And they’d like the city to lease them vacant parkland to do it.

The Grounds is a big project. It’ll include road improvements, restoration of Silas Creek, a paved walking trail, retail village, bedroom community, office space and for-sale condos.
