Beginning on Monday, March 22, anyone who shows their COVID-19 vaccination record card at any Krispy Kreme shop in the U.S will receive a free doughnut. KERI BROWN/WFDD

A North Carolina-based company is offering a sweet incentive for getting your COVID-19 vaccination.

Krispy Kreme is offering a free original glazed doughnut to anyone who shows a valid vaccination card.

According to the company's website, anyone who has received at least one of the two Moderna or Pfizer shots, or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, is eligible.

The promotion runs every day through 2021.

If you didn't get the shot, there's still a chance to get your free sweet treat. On Mondays from March 29 through May 24, it will offer a free original glazed doughnut and medium coffee to any guest, regardless if you've been vaccinated or not.

Krispy Kreme, which was founded in Winston-Salem, is among several companies across the country providing incentives to encourage employees to get the COVID vaccination. The company says it's offering up to four hours of paid time off to enable them to get the shot.
