Several municipalities in Guilford County will see contested mayoral races in the upcoming November election.

Burlington’s race could be a nail-biter. Beth Kennett is making another bid for the position after narrowly losing to current Mayor Jim Butler by just 200 votes in 2023. She’ll face off against Ronnie Wall, a former mayor and current city council member.

In Gibsonville, incumbent Bryant Crisp is looking to finish out the term of longtime mayor Lenny Williams, who resigned in January at age 91 after more than 20 years in office. Crisp is being challenged by Darian Smith.

Kernersville Mayor Dawn Morgan is also facing a challenger: Kevin Hansford. She last ran unopposed in 2023, after serving 15 years in the role.

The fall election is scheduled for November 4.
