UNCG Dance Features Dancer/Choreographer Nathan Trice

UNC at Greensboro's Fall Dance features the work of internationally recognized dancer/choreographer Nathan Trice. He's been a featured artist with MOMIX, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Joseph Holmes Chicago Dance Theater, among others, and his RITUALS, a Project-by-Project Dance Theater Company brings new works to high school and college campuses across the country . Earlier this Fall Nathan Trice spent time on the UNCG campus where he set his work “Conversations” on the student dancers there.

David Ford spoke with nathantriceRITUALS founder, dancer/choreographer Nathan Trice. His work “Conversations” will be performed by UNC at Greensboro dance students as part of their Fall Dance. Shows run November 20th and 21st at 8pm with an additional performance on November 21st at 2pm in the Dance Theatre in the Coleman Building. 

Before his arrival in the Triad, David had already established himself as a fixture in the Austin, Texas arts scene as a radio host for Classical 89.5 KMFA. During his tenure there, he produced and hosted hundreds of programs including Mind Your Music, The Basics and T.G.I.F. Thank Goodness, It's Familiar, which each won international awards in the Fine Arts Radio Competition. As a radio journalist with 88.5 WFDD, his features have been recognized by the Associated Press, Public Radio News Directors Inc., Catholic Academy of Communication Professionals, and Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. David has written and produced national stories for NPR, KUSC and CPRN in Los Angeles and conducted interviews for Minnesota Public Radio's Weekend America.
