The same day Secretary of State Mike Pompeo paid an unprecedented visit to Israeli settlements, he also announced policies targeting the movement to boycott, divest and sanction the country.

Omar Shakir of Human Rights Watch was ordered to leave the country for allegedly backing boycotts of Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. Aghast critics call it a blow to free expression.

Omar Barghouti is one of the founders of a Palestinian-led boycott movement intended to pressure Israel on its occupation of the West Bank. His visa to enter the U.S. has apparently been revoked.
