A global manufacturer is investing more than $27 million to expand its production site in Stokes County.

Gov. Roy Cooper recently announced Wieland Copper Products will add 50 new jobs to its facility in Pine Hall. Annual wages for the positions are expected to average around $57,000.

The company provides semi-finished copper and copper alloy products. It's expanding its facility to match the rising demand for tubing and energy-efficient cooling systems in the HVAC, defense and aerospace industries.

The expansion is supported by a performance-based grant of $100,000 from the One North Carolina Fund.
