Guilford College is no longer at risk of losing its accreditation after meeting financial targets.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges placed Guilford on probation in 2023.

Officials say the college has since reduced expenses, increased revenue and surpassed its fundraising goals.

The agency acted on Tuesday after reviewing Guilford’s latest finances, which included a balanced audited budget and a solid start to the current fiscal year.

The commission will evaluate the school again in 2028.
