Greensboro police have fired a police academy cadet after his arrest for impersonating an officer.

The nonprofit is looking to raise $250,000 by June 30 to support improvements at a preserved shotgun house.

The money will help support the construction of more than 300 new units in the city.

Joel Michael Gamble-Toliver is now facing two felony counts for engaging in a riot that resulted in a death. Those are in addition to an existing charge for rioting with a dangerous weapon.
