Winston-Salem State University has lifted a lockdown that was put in place Friday afternoon. According to the University, the measure was taken just after 1 p.m. citing an incident where an individual was stabbed near Hill Hall. He's identified by university officials as Terrence Semple, 20, sophomore business administration major from Fayetteville. He was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

The lockdown was lifted at 3:30 p.m. after police determined that the suspect was no longer on campus. Normal operations have resumed at Winston-Salem State University.
