The board also voted to give Superintendent Whitney Oakley a 5% annual salary increase, a retention bonus of 10% of her pay this school year, and a $30,000 contribution to a retirement account of her choice.

GCS Superintendent Whitney Oakley will also receive a 10% retention bonus and $10,000 to add to a retirement account of her choosing.

“I think we did have a successful year but we have a lot of work ahead of us for sure," said Guilford County Schools Superintendent Whitney Oakley at a Board of Education meeting on Tuesday.
