Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools is considering multiple updates to its code of conduct, including new offenses related to the use of cell phones and metal cups.

Back in July, the state passed House Bill 959, requiring all North Carolina public school districts to restrict the use of phones during instructional time.

At a meeting on Tuesday, ABSS board members discussed a proposed contract with Yondr, a company that creates lockable pouches for students to put their phones away, but keep them on their person.
