In January, Joseph Mechavich was handed the baton to lead the Piedmont Opera as it enters its 50th anniversary season. Mechavich shares his take on the art form and his new role with WFDD's David Ford.

Singer, conductor and educator Jamie Allbritten will pass the baton to the next conductor of Piedmont Opera in March 2025. He says it's time for someone new to challenge the musicians in a different way.
