A public hearing on proposed Stokes County zoning rules related to data centers has been postponed.

The county planning board was scheduled to consider several zoning changes Tuesday evening, including establishing a formal definition for data centers and other updates that could affect how plans for future facilities are reviewed.

A press release from the county says the hearing was postponed to allow additional time for public review of the proposed amendments. Officials have not announced a new date for the event.
