Reynolds American is among the donors contributing to President Donald Trump’s controversial White House renovation project.

The Winston-Salem-based company appears on the list of contributors to the construction of Trump’s East Wing ballroom.

The company has not disclosed the amount of its donation. The total cost of the renovation is estimated at $300 million.

Reynolds has historically contributed to conservative causes. The company was among the top donors to Trump’s 2017 inauguration fund, giving $1 million.

Trump has pursued policies favorable to the tobacco industry during his time in office, including ending the Biden administration’s push to ban menthol cigarettes.

Reynolds American has not responded to requests for comment.
