Greensboro juvenile arrested for making threat to school in High Point

A juvenile in Greensboro has been charged with communicating a threat of mass violence on educational property.

Law enforcement officials say a phone call was made to Andrews High School in High Point Wednesday afternoon stating that there would be a shooting.

An investigation between High Point and Greensboro Police officers and Guilford County Schools identified a 15-year-old suspect who was not a student at Andrews.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the Guilford County Juvenile Detention Center where they remain in custody.

Officials say the investigation determined that this was an isolated incident and not a credible threat.
