Guilford County Schools to host school choice showcase on Jan. 31

Guilford County Schools has a wide variety of programs students can choose to be a part of, like Spanish immersion, science and technology, and performing arts.

To help families and students with their choices, the district is hosting a showcase at the Greensboro Coliseum on January 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Board of Education Chair Deena Hayes announced the showcase at a recent school board meeting.

“This event is a great opportunity for families to learn more about each program and to talk to our educators to determine which ones are ideally suited for their children," Hayes said.

The district’s Choice Application window for the upcoming school year opens on January 19 and closes on February 23.

More information about the district’s programs and the upcoming showcase can be found on the GCS website.
