N. Carolina A&T reveals new blueprint for the future

The leadership of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has launched a new strategic plan.

This is the third such initiative under Chancellor Harold L. Martin Sr., whose tenure began in 2009.

Under the new plan, the historically Black university lays out goals through the year 2030. Focus items include leadership, engagement, and inclusive culture. The school also intends to expand its doctoral programs and grow funding for research.

According to a university press release, the plan is the result of a process involving over 600 A&T stakeholders, who worked in focus groups, analyzing data and trends.

The strategic initiative, called Preeminence 2030: North Carolina A&T Blueprint, was unanimously approved by the A&T Board of Trustees in February.
