A planned appearance in Greensboro this week by former President Donald Trump isn't happening after all.

Organizers with the conservative American Freedom Tour announced back in May that the former president would appear in Greensboro this Friday.

Ticket prices for the event ranged from less than ten dollars to almost $4,000.

An email from tour organizers says that due to unforeseen circumstances the event has been postponed.  A Greensboro police department spokesperson confirmed that the Friday rally is not happening as planned.

The message from the Tour says organizers are looking for an alternate date and those who signed up for Friday's event will be notified by email of the revised details.

Others who were scheduled to appear alongside the former president included his son, Donald Trump Jr., and conservative commentators Dinesh D'Souza and Jeanine Pirro.

Trump appeared publicly in North Carolina in rural Johnston County in April, just weeks ahead of the May primaries.
