Here's where you can find a COVID-19 vaccine appointment for your child in the Triad

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for use in children ages 5-11 on Tuesday. ESTEBAN FELIX/AP

Children between the ages of 5-11 are now eligible to receive Pfizer's COVID-19 shots, as of Tuesday. Not all health care providers are offering pediatric doses yet though, making the process a little tricky for parents. Here's where you can snag an appointment in the Triad for your child: 

Forsyth County Department of Public Health

  • Will offer Saturday vaccine clinics for kids on November 6,  November 13, November 20, December 4, and December 11 at the health department.

  • Appointments for children will also be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. beginning next week. 

  • Appointments can be made online beginning Friday, November 5 at 5 p.m. 

Guilford County Division of Public Health

  • Pediatric vaccine clinics are scheduled for November 6, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Andrews High School, November 13-14, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. at The Greensboro Coliseum, and November 20, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Dudley High School.
  • Appointments for these clinics are recommended but not required. They can be made online or by phone at (336) 641-7944.
  • A parent or legal guardian is required to accompany children to their vaccination appointment. 

CVS

  • The drug store will begin providing vaccines for children starting Sunday, November 7.

  • You can schedule a future appointment online now.

Walgreens

  • Pediatric doses will be available starting Saturday, November 6.

  • Future appointments can be made online now.

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist

  • Appointments can be online or by phone at 336-702-6843 beginning Thursday, November 4.

  • Children will receive the vaccine at Downtown Health Plaza's pediatric clinic, part of Brenner Children's Hospital. 

  • Appointments will also be available at a number of pediatric clinics.

Novant Health

  • Appointments will become available online at GetVaccinated.org beginning Thursday, November 4 at 8 a.m.

  • Pediatric doses will be available at Novant Health Medical Group – Hanes (196 Hanes Mall Circle, Winston-Salem, NC 27103) on Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cone Health

  • Pediatric vaccine clinics are scheduled for November 8, 9, and 11 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the NC A&T Alumni Foundation Event Center, November 9 and 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and November 13, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Western Rockingham Family Medicine, and November 13 -14 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum.

  • Appointments are required and can be online or by phone at 336-890-1188.

  • Type in your zip code and find providers offering children's doses near you. 

  • Call first to make sure the location you're interested in still has doses available.
