The North Carolina State Board of Elections is sending out a judicial voter guide to residents that includes information on various voting methods.
The guide features profiles on all the candidates for the N.C. Supreme Court and N.C. Court of Appeals. It also has election dates, details on the three options for voting — by mail, one-stop early voting, and Election Day, November 3 — and a removable North Carolina Absentee Ballot Request Form.
It also explains the COVID-19 safety precautions that will be utilized at all early voting sites and Election Day polling places.
In-person voters are encouraged to wear a mask. Face-coverings, hand sanitizer, and single-use pens will be available at all sites, and poll workers will be required to wear masks, gloves, and practice social distancing. Voting equipment will be cleaned often.
Voters who choose an absentee ballot must make their request by October 27, though election officials encourage people to do so as soon as possible.
The state elections website now has a system called BallotTrax that allows voters to keep up with the status of their vote via text, email, or phone messages as their ballot moves through the process.
