Across the Blue Ridge is happy to be co-sponsoring the 9th Surry Old Time Fiddlers' Convention at Surry Community College in Dobson, NC, April 6 & 7, 2018. We hope to see you there, whether you make music or not. There will be instrumental band and dancing competitions, special workshops from special guests, and lots of jamming indoors and outside at Surry Community College. Former 88.5 WFDD News Director Paul Brown founded Across the Blue Ridge at WFDD in the late 1980s. It was an instant hit, and was broadcast on WFDD for more than a decade until Paul left to become an executive editor, producer, reporter, and world newscaster at NPR in Washington, DC.
