No Injuries After Shot Fired At High Point Central High School

Police say a juvenile is in custody after single shot was fired at a North Carolina high school, and no one was reported injured.

The High Point Police Department announced on its Twitter page Monday night that it had apprehended a suspect.

The High Point Enterprise reports the shot was fired at 2:08 p.m. Monday near the cafeteria at High Point Central High School, but it was not an active shooter situation.

The high school was placed on lockdown, as was a nearby middle school. Police and the North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the school.

Details remained sketchy as to what led to the shot being fired.
